Emerging from Atlanta, GA, the powerhouse vocalist Teddy Swims, born Jaten Dimsdale, embarked on a journey of self-forgiveness as he commenced work on his debut studio album, "I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)," in collaboration with Warner Records. Despite his musical releases and global tours following his introduction in 2019, the 31-year-old artist, originally from Georgia, dedicated a significant portion of the past four years to penning an album that narrates his personal journey to an audience ready to embrace it.
"I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)" is a stirring and profoundly meaningful body of work set to be unveiled in segments, mirroring Teddy’s own exploration of self-discovery. This initial installment of ten songs sees Teddy confronting substantial and authentic challenges through his music. Reflecting on the impact of his songs, he shares, "Now, witnessing people connect with the messages and stories, I realize that these songs are not only aiding me but are also resonating with them. It feels like all the internal reflection and effort is finally creating an impact."
Teddy Swims' breakout Platinum hit, "Lose Control," soared to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after one of the lengthiest climbs in Hot 100 history. The track also marked Teddy's first #1 at Hot AC radio and has amassed nearly 1 billion global streams, achieving #4 on the Billboard Global 200 chart and securing #1 positions on the US and Global Shazam charts. Furthermore, "Lose Control" has garnered international success, attaining 2x-Platinum certification in multiple countries to date. With over 2.6 billion career streams, an ongoing sold-out global headline tour, and upcoming music projects, Swims is poised for a remarkable year in 2024.
